Rifampin and remicade
Dear Dr. Chaisson,
I contacted you 4 months ago when I was exposed to an active case of TB at work. I am an RN who suffers from Crohn’s disease. I was and am currently on remicade treatments. I asked you about combining rifampin with remicade. I thought you may be interested in my experience. After starting the rifampin, I had slightly elevated hepatic function but it returned to normal after a few weeks. I had no other problems while continuing my remicade treatments and taking the rifampin. I thought you may be interested and I wanted to thank you once again for you help.
